Kenya Airways will commence flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from October 18. The service will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays using a Boeing 737-800 and will mark the airline’s 56th global destination and third in the Middle East.
“This is testament to our efforts to offer connectivity not just across Africa, but to the rest of the world through our hub at the JKAI in Nairobi,” said Group MD and CEO of KQ, Titus Naikuni. “We have taken delivery of our eighth Embraer E-190 jet and another one is going through final tests before its delivery next month.”
Naikuni also said Jeddah offered potential for tourists from the Middle East, which would boost Kenya’s industry.
