Lusenga National Park to receive 160 elephants

LUSENGA Plains National Park, in Zambia’s Kawambwa district, will receive 160 elephants donated by the South African government.

The park will also receive 100 zebras, 100 wildebeests and 280 impalas from the Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA).

The donations are part of an ongoing restocking programme to increase animal populations in the reserve, which has been drastically reduced due to poaching.
