Maasai Mara camp introduces new family tents

Governors’ Camp in Kenya’s Maasai Mara will open five newly built family tents on June 1 this year, replacing the original eight units.

Located under riverine forest with views of the plains, the new tents aim to improve guest comfort and privacy. Two of the five units are designed to be wheelchair accessible, featuring ramps and grab rails.

Each tent includes a fixed double bed on one side and twin beds on the other with the option to convert the twin beds into a double or add an additional single bed. A central lounge connects the two sleeping areas and each unit features a covered veranda with outdoor seating.
