Major carriers boost Seychelles access

Three key international airlines, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Aeroflot, have resumed or expanded services to Seychelles earlier than in previous years. The move is expected to enhance global connectivity and visitor access during the traditionally quieter northern summer months.

Qatar Airways now operates four weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from Doha to Seychelles.

Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Seychelles – its first summer service to the destination in three years. The carrier currently operates two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays. From July 6, a third weekly flight on Fridays will be added.

Aeroflot is scheduled to resume services on July 8 with two weekly flights from Moscow on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Commenting on the enhanced connectivity, Vesna Rakić, Seychelles Tourism Board CEO, said: “At a time of intense global competition for travellers, the decision by Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Aeroflot to expand their presence in Seychelles is a strong endorsement of our destination. Improved air connectivity is key to tourism growth, giving travellers more choice while strengthening access from Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Russia.”
