Measles outbreak confirmed

The Western Cape Department of Health has officially confirmed that there is a measles outbreak in the province, with 422 cases confirmed and more results still pending. Mitchells Plain, Khayelitsha, Klipfontein and Tygerberg appear to be the worst affected. Isolation wards have been set up to deal with the outbreak, however travellers are asked to be vigilant about measles vaccination if they are heading to the Western Cape, especially if they are travelling with children.
