Former Deputy Minister of Tourism Amos Fish Mahlalela will head the new Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) 11-member interim Board.

His appointment by Department of Economic Development and Tourism MEC Jesta Sidell follows the expiry of the previous MTPA Board’s term of office on August 31. Including Mahlalela as Chairperson, the interim Board, which will manage the affairs of the entity until a permanent Board is appointed, comprises:
- Tholi Nkambule
- David Mabunda
- Linda Grimbeek
- Sizile Ndlovu
- Qondile Thabethe
- Mzilikazi Khumalo
- Sandile Nene
- Mohita Latchminarain
- Sister Monama
- Thembelihle Anawo
SATSA said Mahlalela’s expertise will be invaluable in guiding the MTPA through the interim period.
