Ker & Downey Botswana will acquire a new property at the end of this year, Dinaka Safari Lodge, which is in a private reserve on the northern boundary of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.
Francesca Hird, Marketing Director, told Tourism Update in an interview that the lodge would undergo a total rebuild and reopen on March 1, 2018.
Dinaka, as it will be known, will be a 16-bed tented camp, featuring seven twin/double tents and one family tent, says Hird.
The safari lodge will continue to operate as is until December 11, when it will close for its transformation into a Ker & Downey Botswana camp.
Dinaka will welcome children aged seven and older. Activities will include game drives, night drives, walking safaris and a sleep-out deck.
