The luxury Villa Verte – an extension of the adjacent Villa Maison Noir brand – will open in Hout Bay, Cape Town, in March.
Owned by American couple, Jim Brett and Ed Gray, the two properties are situated on the back of Table Mountain and are connected by shared gardens.
“We really enjoyed building the brand and wanted to keep extending the business. There used to be an old 1970s house on the property when we bought it, and we knew we could build something better in its place to complement Villa Maison Noir,” said Brett.
Surrounded by trees, Villa Verte will offer the same experience as Villa Maison Noir but in a slightly different package. “We hope that people will come to this magical place and feel like they are living in a tree house, with endless views of the mountains and nature all around them,” said Gray.
The new villa will echo the organic structure of Villa Maison Noir, which was based on the African ‘kraal’.
