There will be no cancellations on services offered by The Blue Train.
This statement, by operating company Transnet Freight Rail (TFR), follows news that an empty 19-coach Blue Train derailed early on Sunday morning at the Union Station Loop in Germiston.
"This was a staged (unmanned) train with no passengers on board. No injuries were reported on site," said Transnet's Sibu Majozi in a statement, adding that TFR would investigate the cause of the derailment and apply remedial action where necessary.
