Three Cities’ Peninsula All-Suite Hotel in Cape Town is undergoing a soft refurbishment.
The renovation will include updating the foyer, lounge and rooms. Motto Interior Design’s Dee De Kock is responsible for the interior makeover and has taken inspiration from the colours of the ocean, the textures of the beach and its accompanying sea-life. “We tried to stay away from trends that come and go and rather create an environment that is in direct harmony with its surroundings,” said De Kock.
The existing furniture was reupholstered with navy and white fabrics and deep-buttoning, and the foyer pond has been retiled with white marble and fitted with blue lights.
“We wanted to begin the new season with a fresh, timeless aesthetic feel. Although this is only a soft refurbishment, the new rooms will be a vast improvement and provide sophisticated design suited to the modern traveller,” said Property Manager, Fuaad Sieed.
The hotel spends R6 million every year on refurbishment.
