ANEW Hotels & Resorts has announced two new appointments, effective March 1.
Alan Campbell has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director, and Evan Badenhorst has taken the role of Financial Director.
Campbell joined ANEW in 2017 as part of the company’s outsourced marketing department. On his reason for joining ANEW on a full-time basis, Campbell says: “ANEW has ambitious designs around the local market and becoming the preferred local hospitality group. Thanks to its explosive growth, increasing our management capacity and capability is the next natural phase of our growth. We’ve got a really talented group of marketers and salespeople working for the business, so I’m very excited to play a role in helping them take the brand to market.”
Campbell has worked with major brands Virgin Active, Planet Fitness, Vodacom, Discovery, Lexus, Ford, Nedbank, Telkom and SuperSport. His previous experience in the hospitality sector was at Premier Hotels & Resorts, where he played a significant role in structuring and positioning the brand as a leading hotel group in South Africa.
Badenhorst comes with over 25 years of experience as a chartered accountant, having spent many years in manufacturing and consulting. He joined the hospitality industry eight years ago, with three years spent at Tsogo Sun.
