Zimbabwe’s Tourism Minister, Walter Mzembi, said it was time to ‘modernise’ the Victoria Falls to attract a younger generation of travellers to the World Heritage Site.
He proposes to develop the Falls into a tourism resort and build the world’s first ever “eco-Disneyland”, which would position the area as a tourism hub for the SADC region. However, members of the trade have cautioned that these developments could ruin the destination.
