The Victoria Falls Bridge in Zimbabwe will be fully closed to traffic and pedestrians from 22h00 on Saturday, July 6, until 08h00 on July 7, to allow safe passage for the annual 2019 Econet Victoria Falls Marathon (EVFM) participants. The Zambian gate will also be closed.
The bridge links Zimbabwe and Zambia through Victoria Falls Border Post (Zimbabwe) and Livingstone Border Post (Zambia).
EVFM attracts professional and fun runners from across the globe, boosting tourism activities in Victoria Falls before, during and after the marathon.
