Online tour operator, Rhino Africa Safaris, has launched a new division, Rhino Asia.
Rhino Asia will initially focus on India with the aim of expanding into other Asian countries including Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
“As a company, we are passionate about travel, wildlife and conservation,” says Founder and CEO of Rhino Africa, David Ryan. “We launched Rhino Asia in order to showcase the best safari experiences in India – a country that shares so many similarities with South Africa and which represents one of the planet's last truly wild frontiers."
According to Rhino Africa, both India and South Africa are blessed with an abundance of wildlife but while conservation and travel work hand in hand in Africa, the same is not true of India. “As a company with ten years' experience in the safari business, Rhino Asia is uniquely positioned to pioneer this symbiotic relationship in India,” the company said in a statement.
“[I]t’s imperative that future generations share the privilege of witnessing India’s sacred wildlife,” says Ryan. “In order for this to happen, we need tourism to aid rather than hinder conservation. We are always searching for the next great adventure for our clients, who are as passionate about rare wildlife encounters as we are. Rhino Asia offers clients the opportunity to explore a new country, a new continent.
“Our move to Asia also invites clients to be part of a new legacy by pioneering the Indian safari experience in a way that has not been done before.”
