SA companies scoop awards at SITE Crystal Awards

At a Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE) Crystal Awards luncheon in Las Vegas, The Fuji Xerox Top Tier programme, operated by Dragonfly Africa, won the award for the Best Destination Based Experiential Travel Program, while Walthers DMC triumphed in the categories, Most Impactful Effort Toward Corporate Social Responsibility and Exceptional Motivational Travel Program – Africa Middle East.

SITE, a global network of meetings and event professionals, aims to connect motivational experiences with business results to advance professional growth.

The Dragonfly Africa Group comprises Dragonfly Africa and Green Route Africa, with representation in North and South America, UK, Europe, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and East Africa.  Dragonfly Africa CEO, Mike Waller, and Sales & Marketing Director, Yolanda Woeke Jacobs, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
 
Walthers DMC entered under the first category for a programme designed with KPMG Meijburg & Co Holland and agency partner Eventions. Classrooms, school desks, waterless Enviro Loo toilets, and drinking water were provided to a local community near Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve.  KPMG Meijburg raised over €3000 for sports equipment for the Ezweni Combined School to compete in the Dreamfields soccer programme and the local schools’ netball league.
