Thompsons Africa introduces new Vic Falls Bridge Tours

Thompsons Africa has introduced two new bridge tours of the Victoria Falls: the Victoria Falls Tram Morning Bridge Tour and the Victoria Falls Tram Champagne Sunset Bridge Tour.

Both tours begin with a stroll down the red carpet from the Victoria Falls Hotel to the train platform at Victoria Falls Station. This is followed by a 20-minute meander through the town on the 19th century-style tram, ending in the middle of the Victoria Falls Bridge, which straddles the border dividing Zimbabwe and Zambia.

The morning tour departs the Victoria Falls Hotel at 10h00 and returns at 12h30. It includes a Historic Bridge Tour, a walk under Victoria Falls Bridge and ends at the Bridge Information Centre.

The sunset tour departs the Victoria Falls Hotel at 16h45 and returns at 18h45.  The tour begins with a demonstration of stunt jumping by the Bungee Flying Squad, followed by a visit to the Bridge Information Centre for champagne and a short, theatrical, presentation on the history of the bridge.  Guests then enjoy sundowners at the Bridge Café.

Guests will also be able to participate in some of the high-adrenalin activities on offer at the bridge during both tours. There is also an option for guests to be dropped off at the rain forest for a guided tour of the Victoria Falls.  Both activities are not included in the Tram Tour price.

The tours run subject to a minimum of eight passengers. Children four years and older are welcome.
