Tintswalo Lodges, the local communities of the Mpumalanga region, private companies and government departments, have joined together to drive an educational awareness programme, targeting the youth of the local surrounding communities within the borders of the Manyeleti Game Reserve.
The project includes taking learners on game drives to teach them about the animals and the flora of the region. Targeting children in grades six, seven and 10 over three phases, the first of these programmes has been completed successfully.
The project is a joint venture between Tintswalo Safari Lodge, SAPS Mala, Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (Manyeleti), Honeyguide Tented Camp, Pungwe Bush Camp and the local communities and schools.
