We Are Africa shows its true colours

Beyond Luxury Media, organiser of the new travel trade show, We Are Africa, set to take place on May 5-8 next year, has unveiled its sales and marketing proposition as well as its new rebranded website – www.weareafricatravel.com

The show aims to attract 250 ‘best of breed’ African travel exhibitors, as well as 250 African specialist travel trade buyers. A range of exhibiting packages are available from £2 559 to £7 999. In a statement, Beyond Luxury Media said this will allow companies of all sizes and budgets to participate in the event.

Founder, Serge Dive, said: “We believe that if you want to bring international buyers to an event you need to create a context that is so compelling and so extraordinary that your guest will be wowed by the way they will feel welcomed. That is why we always believe that investing in design and advertising real estate is always the best way to promote a brand or a service. However, we also want to make sure that we do not discriminate companies by budget and it is therefore also important to offer entry-level solutions.”

The We Are Africa marketing campaign is based on the concept of ‘joining a new travel tribe’ and displays a modern image of an African woman with tribal signs on her face.

“This campaign underpins our entire philosophy, which is to rebrand Africa under a more modern look that breaks away from the clichés under which the continent is often represented. We want people throughout the world to see Africa as a driving force on the international tourism stage and as a continent that is at the cutting edge of the hospitality business. We are Africa is more than another travel trade show, it is a movement where all  forward thinking African companies have the opportunity to stand up for their continent and have a voice in the battle to give Africa a leading position in the mind share of every international travel trade buyer,” concluded Dive.
