Weigh in on Zimbabwe’s new VAT law

From January 2026, tourism services in Zimbabwe that were previously zero-rated will be subject to 15.5% VAT, forcing operators to reprice confirmed and future bookings. Legislated without a grace period, this applies to tourism activities and transport services. We would like to know if you think this move is justified.
