Wilderness Safaris opens new camp

Linkwasha Camp has opened in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Wilderness Safaris has opened the new Linkwasha Camp in Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park.

Situated on the same site as the old Linkwasha, the new camp is located near the well-known Ngamo Plains but is still secluded from public areas.

Linkwasha Camp has been designed to complement Wilderness Safaris’ other properties in the concession, Little Makalolo and Davison’s Camp. The camp has eight en-suite double or twin luxury tents and one family tent all looking out over the pan in front of camp. The camp also has a main area with a pool and a winter lounge with a fireplace and library.

Wilderness Safaris’ CEO, Keith Vincent said: “Our decision to invest in this destination and open a new camp was based on our tremendous belief in Zimbabwe as a major player in Africa’s tourism industry. We are excited to deliver not only an exceptional wildlife experience, but also a new level of luxury on a par with what guests would associate with our Botswana camps.”

Linkwasha camp offers walking safaris, game drives, sundowners in the bush and visits to the Ngamo community. All year round, elephant, buffalo, lions and a range of birdlife can be seen.
