Wine bar and restaurant to launch in Green Point

CRU Café, a new wine bar and restaurant, is set to open in Green Point, Cape Town, in mid-October.
The restaurant will offer a cosmopolitan-style menu and the wine shop in the premises will complete the experience with 120 rare and sought-after vintages.

An addition to the Cru Café concept will be ‘wine flights’ – where guests will get to choose a preferred varietal (wines made primarily from a single named grape variety) and receive three tasters served with an appropriate appetiser.

Brothers Tom and Jacques Castelein, who previously owned the Tasca de Belem restaurant in the V&A Waterfront, are the duo behind the Cru Café concept and are backed by Cape Wine Master Elsie Pells who brings extensive wine knowledge to the business.
