Zim eyes Abu Dhabi-Harare route

Zimbabwe is engaging with Etihad Airways about the potential launch of a direct service between Abu Dhabi and Harare.

Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Isaac Moyo and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development’s Permanent Secretary Joy Makumbe held strategic talks with Etihad Airways on May 18 to discuss the launch of the proposed route.

According to The Herald Zimbabwe, this follows engagement in February this year between Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi and top executives from Emirates, exploring the prospects for a direct Dubai-Victoria Falls route, positioning Victoria Falls International Airport as a Kavanago Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area regional hub.
