THE Cathay Pacific International Wilderness Experience 2006 kicked off on August 23, with 42 Asian students and 10 South African ambassadors, aged between 16 and 18, setting off on an eight-day camp. The experience is being held at the Botshabelo Historical Village in Middelburg. The programme includes environmental studies and workshops, a wildlife safari, nature reserve visit and various cultural experiences. The students will also get involved in community work, by painting walls at a local school and helping with farm work. Sue Lewitton (suel@nowmedia.co.za)
