Bear Grylls brings Survival Academy to SA

Bear Grylls' knowledge and experience will be applied to the development of a survival adventure course that will be offered throughout 2015 in SA.

Bear Grylls has teamed up with action/adventure specialists, Group 73, to bring the Bear Grylls Survival Academy to South Africa.

Bear, the recognised face of survival skills, gained experience through service in the British Special Forces ands stars in series such as ‘Man vs. Wild’, ‘Worst Case Scenario’, and ‘Running Wild with Bear Grylls’.

His knowledge and experience will be applied to the development of a survival adventure course that will be offered throughout 2015 in SA. A variety of survival skills will be covered, such as the introduction to ‘exotic’ snacks, abseiling, a helicopter landing, and learning astro-navigation and trap and snare skills.

Group 73 instructors are highly skilled individuals with extensive experience in specialised units, including SA Special Forces, and are among the most qualified and accomplished in their respective fields.

The inaugural event will take place on Saturday May 2 and Sunday May 3.
