IN a move to accommodate single business travellers, Conservation Corporation Africa (CC Africa) has waived single room supplements at 26 of their 27 safari lodges (except for Mnemba Island Lodge). The initiative was launched at Indaba and is applicable on commencement of new 2002 rates, where the waiver is limited to the first two single rooms per reservation. Says CCAfrica's pr, Shayne Richardson: "We recognise the importance of hosting business travellers for conferences or the recreational segment of their trips to the continent. The single supplement has in the past often penalised the single traveller or in some cases made travel prohibitive and the move seeks to rectify this and sets CC Africa apart in the industry." CCAfrica operates a number of luxury game lodges in southern and east Africa. (Miguel de Sousa)
