Chimwala Bush Camp reopens after refurb

Chimwala Bush Camp in Liwonde National Park, Malawi, has reopened following an extensive renovation.

Located against Chinguni Hill in the park’s southern section, the camp overlooks the floodplain and is set within mopane and miombo woodland.

The upgraded property accommodates up to 20 guests with eight safari tents and a family cottage featuring two en-suite bedrooms.

Each tent includes a private bathroom with hot and cold showers, flushing toilets and a living area as well as mosquito nets, bathroom amenities, a working table and coffee station. The tents are solar-powered and equipped with stand fans.

The family cottage is designed for families or small groups, offering shared and private space.

The camp operates on a full board basis, including a morning game drive. Additional activities such as sundowner drives and boat trips on the Shire River are available at an extra cost.
