The Durban Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Durban Tourism, will host the country’s first Halaal Tourism Conference at the Elangeni Hotel on May 29, to examine tourism opportunities in this sector.
The conference will provide an overview on Halaal tourism market trends, the rise of Halaal tourism and the economic impact of Halaaltourism in South Africa.
Presenters include Fazal Bahardeen, Director of Crescent Rating, Singapore, Professor Saayman, Tourism Research and Economics: University of North West and Baboo Dajee, Corporate Compliance Manager Nestle South Africa.
There will also be a panel discussion on opportunities for KwaZulu Natal to become the choice destination for Halaal tourism in Africa.
The conference takes place from08h30 until 13h00. A Halaal luncheon will be served.
