Ellerman House opens new fine dining venue

Ellerman House, a boutique Cape Town hotel, has opened Curate – an immersive, multi-course fine-dining experience. Set within the hotel’s wine gallery, which houses a 10 000-bottle collection, Curate offers a multi-course tasting menu drawing inspiration from Southern Africa’s culinary heritage and diverse cultures.

The space was designed in collaboration with renowned artist and sculptor Angus Taylor. At the helm of Curate is Ellerman House’s Head Chef Kieran Whyte who has worked alongside acclaimed Cape Town Chef Peter Tempelhoff over the past five years at Ellerman House.

The new space complements the existing restaurant, OneEighty, which remains a central part of the hotel’s culinary offering.

“With the launch of Curate alongside OneEighty, Ellerman House reaffirms its dedication to providing guests with world-class, multi-sensory culinary and cultural experiences that reflect the soul of South Africa. It is a natural evolution of our commitment to innovation and excellence,” said Ellerman House CEO Carol Kohne
