KASAKA River Lodge in the Chiawa Game Management Area of Zambia is putting the finishing touches on an extensive refurbishment. The lodge has replaced all its walkways on the wildside of the camp to ensure guest safety. It has also rebuilt and redesigned its kitchen, along with the installation of new dry stores. New pathways have been built behind the tents, creating more privacy for guests and a better view of the Zambezi River. The ‘Wild Mango’ honeymoon suite has a new deck around an open-air sunken bath.
Kasaka has finished its ‘Acacia Suite’ – the combination of two existing tents, which have been redesigned with a central decking area, offering a solution for two couples travelling together or for a family with older children.
This year, Kasaka will also offer specialist art safaris with artist Rory McDougall. For a minimum of two guests and a maximum of six per safari, McDougall will teach visitors the basics of wildlife painting. Packages can be tailored to clients’ requirements and no previous experience is required.
