Following months of renovations, Granada Square shopping mall in Umhlanga, KwaZulu Natal, unveiled its new look on August 30.
Work, which began in August last year, has been done in phases. The initial work focused on general maintenance elements, such as replacing the waterproofing for office and retail spaces, repainting, and giving the centre a general facelift and more appealing exterior.
The second phase of the upgrade saw a complete redesign of the centre court area. The entire square was retiled and the lower level retail area façade was enhanced with roof canopies, allowing restaurant tenants to spill out into the courtyard area and giving shoppers a semi weatherproof, covered walkway.
