The majority of Tourism Update readers believe international airfares are making South Africa appear unaffordable to travellers.
In last week’s poll, 68% of respondents said flight prices are creating the impression that South Africa is an expensive destination. Just 14% disagreed while 18% were unsure.
Which beach destinations are safari travellers choosing?
Improved air connectivity is making it easier for travellers to combine a safari with time at the coast. Increased frequencies and new routes to destinations such as Zanzibar, Mauritius, Seychelles and the Kenyan coast have expanded the range of beach extensions available to international visitors.
