The Shongololo Lounge at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport has been given a revamp. Lounge owner, Menzies Aviation, said the facility had been improved further in keeping with global demand for increasingly exclusive and luxurious facilities during airport stopovers.
The African-inspired designer lounge now has new showers and bathroom facilities, its carpets have been replaced by modern tiles and new lighting has been installed to help business and luxury travellers to relax before flying.
Charmaine Richards, Menzies Executive Service Manager, says in addition to the home-from-home refreshment facilities, it offers satellite television, free Wi-Fi, Apple iMac workstations, drinks and a buffet of hot and cold meals supplied by a top South African restaurant group.
“We think we have raised the bar in terms of premium travel. In the luxury lounge sector, customer satisfaction is paramount and we will continue to innovate and improve our facilities and services,” she said.
