Mantis Group adds Serengeti camp to portfolio

Mantis Group welcomes Siringit Serengeti Camp.

On April 15, the Mantis Group entered the Serengeti region for the first time, after welcoming Siringit Serengeti Camp into its portfolio.

The permanent tented camp will allow Mantis guests to link the Northern Circuit safari with an exclusive experience at Nungwi Dreams by Mantis in Zanzibar.

Situated in the heart of the Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania, Siringit has eight 45sqm canvas tents, and a two-bedroom family tent that can accommodate up to six people. The five-star canvas tents have raised polished hardwood floors.

The interiors have an en-suite bathroom with shower, hardwood walls, and double porcelain vanities with brass taps.

The camp is six kilometres from the Seronera Airstrip and is on a major migration wildlife corridor, allowing guests to view the migration from the camp in May, June and August. During the other months of the year, 2.5-hour game drives take guests out to view the local wildlife. A visit to Hippo Pool, as well as balloon safaris are other experiences on offer.

The camp will still offer shared and private-use game drives in the Serengeti, with sightings of lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and Black rhino. Great activities for children include bow and arrow shooting with the Masai warriors, learning how to make a fire the Masai way by rubbing two sticks together, roasting marshmallows on the campfire, or spear-throwing lessons with parents.
