Maslow pulls out the culinary stops for 10th birthday

Sun International’s The Maslow in Sandton pulled out all the stops for its tenth birthday party last week.

Tourism Update attended the celebrations and were treated to some truly magnificent culinary creations from Chef Omar Menhouk.

To top it off, guests were treated to a performance by singer Phindy Dube, a former SA Idols top four finalist.

Gourmet tourism is on the rise in South Africa, with food tours becoming increasingly popular amongst travellers.

Check out the starter, two main courses, and dessert specially curated for the birthday party below:

Caesar salad with bacon, topped with toasted bread and a boiled egg on the side.
Perfectly cooked steak with cauliflower, carrots and baby marrow.
Grilled salmon with green beans, mushrooms and potatoes.
