Fifty-eight percent of readers who participated in the monthly salary poll are still earning below 60% of their salary.
A total of 293 readers answered the monthly Tourism Update poll question for August: What percentage of your salary did you receive last month?
The results show that 18% of readers (up 2% from July) are earning 100% of their salary and 18% are earning between 60% and 79%, while only 5% are receiving 80% to 99% of their salary.
A total of 16% remain unemployed as a result of COVID-19.
