Hideaways Africa has launched the new Northern Hwange Walking Safari trail, an eight-night walking safari experience, through northern Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe.
The route begins with one night at Ilala Lodge in Victoria Falls before guests are transported by aircraft to Hwange National Park’s north-western region. They will then spend three nights at Hideaways Nantwich Lodge, exploring the area known for its buffalo herds and lion activity. Guests can walk through the park or experience a game drive by day or night.
The walking trail then continues east through the remote northern Hwange, travelling through the granite hills, river valley and gorges towards the Bumbusi region.
Guests then spend four nights at Hideaways Bumbusi Wilderness Camp where they can explore the nearby Bumbusi National Monument, ancient rock etchings and a petrified forest.
The last day includes a walking route along sections of the Deka River.
