The Claremont Boutique Hotel appoints new GM
The Claremont Boutique Hotel, part of the Sabi Sabi Collection, has appointed Stuart Hill as General Manager. Hill returns to the Cape after working in safari lodges and reserves for more than two decades, including Sabi Sands, Okavango Delta and Welgevonden Game Reserve.
Hill said his focus at the property will be on delivering a personal and local guest experience while carrying through the Sabi Sabi Collection’s hospitality ethos. The Claremont Boutique Hotel joined the collection in October 2025.
Drostdy Hotel appoints new GM
Drostdy Hotel has appointed Simamkele Tata as General Manager.
Tata joins the Karoo property with experience in hospitality operations and guest experience management. The hotel said her focus will include strengthening guest engagement, sustainable tourism practices and ties with the local community while enhancing the property’s culinary, wellness and events offerings.
Executive Director of SA College for Tourism and Drostdy Hotel Tebello Polisane-Casper said Tata’s experience in hospitality operations and guest experience enable her to lead the hotel’s next phase of growth.
Sun International appoints new CMO
Sun International has appointed Nthabi Motsoeneng as Chief Marketing Officer, effective June 1.
Motsoeneng joins from Pernod Ricard where she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Africa and the Middle East. She has also held senior marketing positions at Tetra Pak, Kimberly-Clark, Tiger Brands, The Coca-Cola Company, GlaxoSmithKline and SABMiller.
She will oversee marketing strategy across Sun International’s casinos, resorts, hotels and online platforms, focusing on customer engagement and omnichannel growth.
Sun International CEO Ulrik Bengtsson said Motsoeneng’s experience in consumer-focused brands will support the group’s strategy to build a digitally led omnichannel gaming and hospitality business.
PrideInn appoints new Sales Manager for South Africa
PrideInn Hotels, Resorts and Lodges has appointed Karin Sieberhagen as Sales Manager for South Africa.
Based in South Africa, Sieberhagen will focus on sales, trade engagement and brand awareness for the PrideInn portfolio, including relationships with tour operators, travel agents, corporate clients and the MICE sector.
Zambia Tourism Agency appoints new Board of Directors
Zambia’s government has unveiled a new Board of Directors for the Zambia Tourism Agency.

Zambia’s Minister of Tourism Rodney Sikumba called on the Board to adopt a strategic and results-driven approach focused on regional and international destination marketing as well as regulation of the tourism industry.
Sikumba said the Board should strengthen global destination marketing, digital campaigns, brand positioning and media partnerships to increase Zambia’s international visibility.
