Cresta Marakanelo Limited has appointed Mokwena Morulane as its new Managing Director with effect from October 9.
Morulane is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries in Southern Africa. He holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting from the University of Luton, United Kingdom. He has also completed a Management Development Programme with the University of Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa.
He started his career at Deloitte, and has held leadership roles in the mining and financial service sectors. Most recently he held the position of General Manager – Corporate Services at Botswana Oil Limited.
As Managing Director, Morulane will be responsible for driving and overseeing the implementation of Cresta Marakanelo Ltd’s growth strategy, and reinforcing the company’s position as a reputable and leading provider of hospitality services in Botswana and the Southern Africa region.
Annelie Barkema has been appointed as the General Manager of The Cradle Tourism Company (TCTC).
Barkema has a background in management and organizational support, and has done a variety of work in tourism, including working as a Tourism Specialist Banker in 2006 to 2007, as the National Project leader for the Tourism Safety Initiative from 2007 to 2012, as well as working as the Tourism Safety and Support Manager for Gauteng in 2013 to 2014.
Ntlotleng Manale, Marketing Manager of Fair Trade Tourism will leave the company on October 26, as she is starting a new journey of self-employment. Shona Macdonald will step in for Manale, with whom she has been working for the past couple of months in Membership Sales.
