With the recently announced adjusted Level 4 lockdown, which includes Gauteng residents not being allowed to travel outside the province for leisure purposes (transit through OR Tambo International Airport is allowed), Tourism Update asked readers how this could affect their businesses.
Of 387 respondents, the overwhelming majority (76%) indicated that it would have a ‘major impact’ on their businesses.
Only 18% thought there would be ‘some impact’, while a mere 7% said ‘minimal impact’.
President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to provide a further update on the adjusted lockdown on Sunday (July 11).
This week, we continue with our usual monthly salaries poll to gauge readers’ fluctuating salaries in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
