Last week, we asked readers what they would most like to see prioritised in last Wednesday’s (February 23) Budget 2022 speech.
From 109 votes, 32% said they wanted to see ‘higher budge allocation for international marketing’; 31% voted for ‘financial assistance and low-interest loans’; and 28% chose ‘relaxation in taxes’.
Only 10% of readers wanted to see ‘more funding for bids to attract international events’ to inspire growth in the tourism industry.
This month, we are continuing with our salary poll, allowing us to regularly check in on the industry’s recovery rate as South Africa continues to adapt to a world with COVID-19 affecting our jobs and daily lives.
