Following flooding earlier this year, Serena had to close the Samburu Serena Safari Lodge in Kenya. A new location was chosen and a new lodge is being built in the Isiolo/Buffalo Springs National Reserve.
The site for the new lodge is on a hill behind the previous lodge, with views of the river and the hills around Samburu. The new luxury lodge will have a reduced room inventory and a number of leisure and nature activities will be on offer.
The new lodge is expected to open in mid-2011.
