THE Rastafarian Earth Festival will be coming to Judah’s Square in Knysna between July 21 and 28 and over a thousand visitors are expected to attend the event. Knysna has one of the largest Rastafarian communities in South Africa. “There will be representatives from the nine provinces in South Africa as well as from the International Rastafarian House in the United Kingdom,” said Leo Block, a member of the Rastafarian community in Knysna. The first weekend will have live bands and festivities and the official ceremonial display begins on July 23. “Everyone is welcome. There will be guides available to explain the proceedings and answer any questions that visitors may have,” said Block. Shamin Chibba (shaminc@nowmedia.co.za)
