SATIB has rebranded its tourism support app, Secura Traveller, which will now operate under a new name – SATIB Guardian.
The app, backed by the TBCSA, offers 24/7 safety solutions for the tourism industry.
Once the emergency button has been activated, the app uses GPS location to identify and dispatch the nearest emergency response unit. Included in the service is direct voice access to a live emergency services operator who remains on the call until help arrives.
It is available on smartphones (iOS 15.0+ or Android 9.0+) and can be embedded into welcome packs or itineraries via QR codes.
The app is designed so that tourism suppliers can customise how they offer the service to their guests. It can either be paid for directly by the traveller or included as a value-add.
