In a recent video posted by Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in South Africa on Instagram, game viewers got up close to a pack of Wild Dogs surrounding a hyena who, after fending off the dogs until they lost interest, walked away with only light injuries.
“A hyena takes cover right next to a game viewer at Senalala Safari Lodge as it tries to escape a pack of relentless Wild Dogs. Strength in numbers for the dogs who rallied together to oust this competitor,” @klaserieprivatenaturereserve wrote.
The video was originally taken by Johan Nel, Field Guide at Senalala Safari Lodge, located in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve and adjacent to the Kruger Park and the Timbavati Game Reserve.
