Zambian tour operator The Ultra Portfolio is venturing into the luxury lodge space with the opening of a tented camp on the banks of the Zambezi River, 16km upstream of Victoria Falls.
Set to open in mid-2026, Lone Palm Lodge will feature 10 luxury en-suite tents. Seven of these will overlook the Zambezi River while three will overlook the dam at the lodge. Each air-conditioned tent will feature indoor and outdoor showers. Children six years and older can be accommodated on request.
The camp’s main areas will feature two open-air sunken firepits and a swimming pool on the banks of the river, a breakfast deck and restaurant, lounge and bar areas.
Wellness offerings will be emphasised with yoga, sound therapy and in-room spa treatments. Other activities include boat cruises and game drives.
The lodge will be primarily powered by solar with internet only be available in the main area through a Starlink connection.
