The Labour Court has interdicted Friday, September 26, planned strike by the banking sector.
Business Unity SA (Busa) wanted to stop thousands of members of finance union Sasbo from going ahead with the planned action.
The reasons for the interdict being granted will be communicated ‘in due course’, according to Judge Hilary Rabkin-Naiker.
Tourism Update previously reported that Sasbo was confident the interdict would not be granted, however if this was the case, the union would ‘respect the court of law’.
The union added that there would be a strike called by labour federation Cosatu on October 7.
