Belmond Eagle Island Lodge in Botswana will undergo a refurbishment this year and will therefore be closed between January 5 and November 1.
The refurbishment will virtually be a complete rebuild of the lodge, with the only structures remaining being the base structure of the rooms, which will be extended. There will be a new main area, lounge, bar, library, curio shop, reception, back of house and staff village. Rooms will also be redesigned.
