Cape Town and New York City have entered into a new two-year tourism partnership, which was finalised on August 23.
The partnership hopes to boost travel between the two destinations, for business and leisure purposes.
NYC & Company, New York City’s official destination marketing organisation, and Cape Town Tourism signed the partnership, making it the first time NYC & Company has signed with a destination marketing organisation in Africa, according to Traveller24.
The partnership incorporates a collaboration agreement between the two destination marketing organisations, with the sharing of best practices in tourism marketing and the exchange of marketing assets to encourage reciprocal travel.
