CLUB Méditerranée intends to build a resort in SA and plans to have completed the project before the 2010 Fifa World Cup, said Henri Giscard d’Estaing, chairman and ceo, at a press conference held earlier this week. “Club Med believes that SA could offer a bush and beach experience second to none. We are looking at KwaZulu Natal, however an announcement of the exact location will be made before the end of 2007,” he said. Club Med is repositioning itself as an upmarket, family resort group.
