To celebrate Cottar’s Safari Service’s 100th anniversary next year, the Cottar team recently introduced Cottar’s Fly Camp in Kenya.

Cottar’s Fly Camp
The camp has been designed for those who want to be at one with nature, in a more simple but ample tented, exclusive mobile camp, as it was done in the early 1900s. The experience incorporates ‘simple luxury’.

Cottar’s Fly Camp
The fly camp is mainly located in the Olderkesi Conservancy, which forms part of the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem.
Cottar’s Fly Camp comprises eight tents, each with its own private bathroom in a cubicle behind the tent with a wash basin, hot safari shower and long-drop toilet. The tents can accommodate two people sharing, or one child with two adults, all in single beds. Children over the age of eight are welcome.

Activities include walks with Maasai guides, day and night drives, and e-bike rides.
The camp is hosted by the safari guide and guests will enjoy meals prepared by an experienced safari cook, along with the support crew to look after all guests’ needs.

Cottar’s Fly Camp
Transfers from Nairobi to the camps are by light aircraft from Wilson Airport Nairobi to Cottar’s private airstrip, or to Keekorok airstrip. While at the camp all transport is done in a 4x4 customised safari vehicle.
